NS14 Sailing Dinghy / Sail Boat with TRAILER and CRADLE

NS 14 Sail number 1255 named ‘Risky’. Hull type ‘Jaymac’ built around 1981 in fibreglass with timber tops. Gorgeous boat with galvanised steel trailer and handy aluminium cradle with wheels to move in clubhouse or beach. All in good to very good condition for her age.
We have loved learning to sail on this gorgeous boat. However, We’ve spent 5 years crewing on a 45 foot sloop and we’ve just purchased a 35 foot sloop. Hence, we need the NS14 gone and out of the garage.
Two sets of sails. One very good condition battened main sail, one fair condition battened main sail, one good condition jib sail and one marginal condition jib sail. Rigging replaced around 2008 by Joe Walsh rigging. Everything is there – 2 sets of sails, rudder stock with NEW rudder pin in stainless steel and locknuts, rudder, dagger board, boom and paddle. Comes with a cover and tie downs for carrying on trailer. Pictures don’t show the trailer lights because I’m doing maintenance on them but will come with the trailer. Small chip in front of hull but only cosmetic damage. Tops repainted about 3 years ago and still in good condition. I added a small layer of fibreglass on the gunwales (top edge of side of boat) to make them stronger and have better grip.
Trailer body in very good condition built around 1984 and rust free. Trailer bearings and tyres fitted NEW 2 years ago and have travelled less than 20 km (see pictures) on Morris Mini rims. A set of two trailer tyres costs around $100. NEW wheels, shaft and tyres fitted to the cradle. A set of cradle tyres and shaft will set you back around $30. However, you won’t need to replace these for some years. Trailer not registered as I always get an ‘unregistered vehicle permit’ (UVP) from the RTA to move the boat as it has spent 99.9 percent of the time in a sailing club boat shed. You can register the trailer if needed but unless you plan to keep it at home, and not in a sailing club, it is silly to waste money on registering the trailer. A UPV costs $21 which includes ‘greenslip’ type insurance.
You can view the boat, cradle and trailer in ROSELANDS postcode 2196 prior to bidding to check condition and see if it what you need. Call Hernan on ******** 734 + click to reveal  to arrange a viewing. Also advertised on Australialisted with a staring price of $850 and buy now at $950..
Boat is ready to go sailing again and summer is just around the corner. Stop dreaming – learn to sail today and get the kids to learn too. The asking price is very reasonable and possible the most affordable NS14 on offer at the moment and this one comes with a trailer and a cradle.
The NS14 is an Australian designed sailing dinghy, intended for competitive family sailing. It has a simple rig, is light enough to be lifted from a trailer (fully rigged) into the water by 2 or 3 persons of average strength, requires only reasonable fitness to sail, and is affordable by the private sailor. More information can be found on the NS14 Association webpage: http://www.ns14.org/ .
